First Presbyterian Church of Metuchen to honor community members with awards

The First Presbyterian Church (FPC) of Metuchen will hold its second annual Food Pantry Community Service Awards at 3 p.m. Sept. 21 in the church’s Social Center, 270 Woodbridge Ave., Metuchen.

The award was developed to honor individuals who are making significant contributions to the community through their time, actions, talents and dedication to the food pantry.

This year the awards will go to FPC members Jane and Ed Meyer for founding the FPC Food Pantry, Campbell Elementary School for its “Food Bank Fridays” and Metuchen Elks Lodge 1914 for its ongoing support of the food pantry through grants.
