Learn how the Bayshore area played a role in the Revolutionary War during program at Old Bridge Library

Learn about Sandy Hook and the Bayshore area at the time of the Revolutionary War during a program at 2 p.m. on Sept. 22 at the Old Bridge Library, 1 Old Bridge Plaza, Corner of Cottrell Road and Route 516, Old Bridge.

Route 36 through Atlantic Highlands, Highlands, Middletown and Sea Bright was a Revolutionary War military frontier line that separated the Patriot interior from British-held Sandy Hook and Raritan Bay.

Historian Michael Adelberg, author of “The American Revolution In Monmouth County” and three other books, will present a lecture about the importance of the area during the war.
