Every week of the high school football season, the 12th Man TD Club of Robbinsville selects players of the week from around the Mercer County area.
The club has selected its players of the week for football games played from Sept. 13 and 14. The honorees are below.
Offensive Back of the Week: Danny Surtz, Robbinsville (Sr., QB)
Generated 283 yards of total offense. Was 14 of 25 passing for 240 yards and two touchdowns in a 28-7 victory at Gloucester Catholic. Rushed for an additional 43 yards and a TD on the ground. Danny has accounted for 583 yards of offense through two games to open the season.
Offensive Lineman of the Week: Richie Pinomi, Peddie School (Sr., OL)
Recorded 11 pancakes in a 287-yard rushing performance in a 47-0 victory over Wyoming Seminary.
Defensive Lineman of the Week: Tayo Isadare, Hightstown (Sr., DE)
Registered two sacks, one forced fumble and one fumble recovery in victory over Princeton.
Defensive Back of the Week: Tim Jones, Notre Dame (Sr., CB)
Posted six tackles, five passes defended, two pass break ups and a 40-yard interception return in victory over Allentown.
