National Public Lands Day Work Session planned for Sept. 28

Join Friends of Princeton Nursery Lands and Kingston Greenways Association for an afternoon of stewardship in the Mapleton Preserve, former home site of Princeton Nurseries, from 1-4 p.m. on Sept. 28 at the Mapleton Preserve, 145 Mapleton Road, Kingston.

Help remove brush, vines and invasive saplings and shrubs from the preserve’s ginkgo row; tend the trees in the Flemer Arboretum; weed the butterfly garden; or collect litter with the trash crew in honor of National Public Lands Day.

Participants may bring tools such as loppers, saws, rakes and shovels. Wear sturdy clothing, shoes and gloves.
