It seems to me that our government, probably on orders from the president, is either omitting the real numbers relative to inflation or putting our phony numbers.
In the last several months, most of my visits to local restaurants have increased their menu prices. The pasta sauce I buy went from 26 ounces to 24 ounces at the same old price.
My chicken patties also went from 26 ounces to 24 ounces, again at the same old price. My can of shaving cream went from 10 ounces to 7 ounces. I could go on and on.
The items are reduced in size, yet the price remains the same. Often the package looks the same as it did before. Clearly this is surreptitious inflation. Am I the only one who notices this? I think not.
Although gas prices have come down, most items purchased today are considerably higher, yet the government states there is little to no inflation.
When the government lies to the American people or does not provide all of the necessary information relative to national and international affairs, we are in deep trouble.
Where are the truth tellers? It’s time for the newspapers to further investigate the phantom facts and figures put out by this government or the gross omissions of important information which in the past was readily available.
