Three new Old Bridge police officers come with military experience

OLD BRIDGE – Three new police officers come to the Old Bridge Police Department (OBPD), all with military experience.

Mayor Owen Henry, along with Police Chief William Volkert, introduced William Kenney, Evan Migliore and Zackary Pittius at a Township Council meeting on Sept. 9.

Pittius was introduced at a previous meeting, but could not attend due to his duties as a U.S. Marine Corps reservist. Pittius was sworn into the OBPD on Dec. 19, 2018. He graduated from the Morris County Public Safety Training Academy. He earned an associate’s degree in political science from Brookdale Community College in Lincroft.

William Kenney and Evan Migliore were sworn into the OBPD on Aug. 13.

Kenney is a recent graduate of Essex County Police Academy. He served with the U.S. Marine Corps and was honorably discharged in February 2018.

Migliore is a recent graduate of Camden County Police Academy. He served with the U.S. Marine Corps and was honorably discharged. He continues to serve as a Marine Corps reserve.

He earned a bachelor’s degree in arts and justice studies and an associate’s degree in science and criminal justice. Migliore also is an Eagle Scout with the Boy Scouts of America and currently holds the rank of assistant scoutmaster.

All the officers earned various medals and awards through their service with the U.S. Marine Corps.
