Cranbury Historical and Preservation Society
Residents will have a chance to experience history in Cranbury when the historic house tour, “Memories on Main Street,” returns to town this weekend on Sept. 28.
The tour will run from 10 a.m. through 4 p.m.
From the house on 14 N. Main St., which housed a livery stable, to the home of the original owner of J.S. Silvers Bros. & Co. Spice Mill.
Officials said individuals who take part in the tour will be able to learn historic information that will be specific to each home.
Proceeds from each tour will go to Cranbury Historical and Preservation Society preservation projects.
The tour is about a mile in length from the first house until the last. All homes are on the same side of the street.
Admission for the event is $20 for advanced tickets, while $25 on the day of the tour. For more information about the tour, visit www.cranburyhistory.com.
Gourgaud Gallery
A reminder for residents a new art exhibit is on display in the Gourgaud Gallery by the Four Seasons Watercolor Artists.
The exhibit will run through Sept. 30.
The Four Seasons Watercolor Artists are a group of 10 New Jersey artists who meet bi-monthly under the guidance of professional artist Russ Johnson.
The gallery is located inside Town Hall at 23 N. Main St.
Officials said the artists are featuring many of their more recent original pieces.
