EDISON – An Edison High School student has been charged with allegedly making multiple threats via email, one which resulted in heightened school security at John P. Stevens High School, according to Middlesex County Acting Prosecutor Christopher L.C. Kuberiet and Edison Police Chief Thomas Bryan.

Kuberiet and Bryan announced through a release on Sept. 29 that the juvenile male student, whose name will not be released due to his age, has been charged with multiple counts of false public alarm, terroristic threats, impersonation and one count of computer theft for incidents that occurred on various dates.

One of the charges investigated involved previously reported threats made on September 13 that resulted in heightened school security at J.P. Stevens High School, the release said.
