Holland Drive named after South Brunswick U.S. Navy veteran

SOUTH BRUNSWICK – Clifford Holland celebrated the naming of Holland Drive at the intersection of Georges Road and Wetherhill Way as part of South Brunswick’s Veteran Street Sign Program.

Holland was born in 1924 in New Brunswick. He enlisted in the U.S. Navy during World War II, serving the country from 1943 until he was honorably discharged in December 1945, according to the proclamation read during the street naming ceremony on Sept. 28.

Holland survived the Normandy Beach Battles and also served in the South Pacific near Guadalcanal.
