EDISON – As LyondellBasell marks two decades of service projects through its annual
Global Care Day program, sustainability takes center stage on many of the global efforts.

Five thousand people volunteered on Sept. 21 around the world: employees of the Edison plant, with Kiddie Keep Well Camp members, performed yard work, cleanup, repairs and garden planting; employees, contractors and friends collected garbage on Laem Chareon Beach in Rayong, Thailand; employees and volunteers in Rotterdam, The Netherlands, spent time at Vroesenpark in Blijdorp, where they collected garbage in a popular park; with a goal of putting 400 trees in the ground, planting occurred on Vavala Mountain Gurudatta Trust and Janta Vidyalaya School in Sinnar, India; participants constructed large bird housing for rehabilitation and cleaning up debris on the Port Aransas jetties and St. Joseph’s Island in Corpus Christie, Texas; volunteers removed hazards along the Freedom Trail in Akron, Ohio; and approximately 300 volunteers gathered at Hermann Park in Houston to plant, landscape and paint, 02.0according to information provided by LyondellBasell.

make a difference on a larger scale. Today was one part in the ongoing actions and conversations we are taking as a corporation.”
