Students from Salk Middle School in Old Bridge took part in a school assignment about Acts of Kindness and were given a Good Deed Challenge. The group chose the Old Bridge Police Department to show their appreciation to by creating a special poster thanking the officers for their service. Students Abby Mahmoud, Madison Chiarello, Karley Hazel, Olivia Cusick, Kaitlyn Janks and Hailey Palmieri brought the officers homemade baked goods and coffee on Sept. 30. In gratitude, Detective Patrick D’Onofrio gave the group a tour of police headquarters and answered questions about law enforcement. Pictured with the students are Police Officer Vincent Galgano, left to right, D’Onofrio and Police Officer Gabriella Ciacciarelli.
