The resident reported that the caller was seeking monetary donations for the “Police Department’s Fund Drive”. The resident reported that the caller requested a credit card number in order to make the donation.

The Milltown Police Department put out a reminder on Nixle that it does not solicit anyone over the phone, or by any other means. Milltown PBA Local 338 does complete an annual fund drive, however it is through the mail only.

If anyone receives a similar phone call, they should call 732-828-1100.
