The trio, who are all acquainted, went to the Princeton Battlefield Park on Mercer Street so the two men could fight, police said.

During the fight, the Princeton man pulled out a knife and stabbed the 22-year-old victim twice in the back and also punched the 18-year-old woman in the face, police said.

Police were notified of the incident around 8 p.m., when someone called to report having been kidnapped. When officers arrived, they found the victim sitting on the ground and suffering from two stab wounds to his back.

The victim was taken to Capital Health Regional Medical Center for treatment of his injuries, which did not appear to be life-threatening. The woman refused medical attention.

The Princeton man was found nearby and arrested. He was taken to the Mercer County Corrections Center.
