Moritorium on development proposed in New Jersey

Typing Letter to the Editor for the Opinion page.

With traffic increasing at an alarming rate in New Jersey, with the loss of open space and farmland, with the quality of water and air diminishing, with political parties and developers showing no vision of how things ought to be, and with the constant violation of land use rights as given to us by the Creator, it is time for a timeout, for a moratorium on development – proposed or in progress – for one solid year in New Jersey so the people can find a new direction.

I would propose that the people of each town meet with their governing body and planning board every second and fourth Saturday of the month from 10 a.m. to noon for the purpose of finding that new direction.
