Erika D’Angelo of Jackson participated in 2019-20 annual Day of Service at Cedar Crest College, Allentown, Pa. Each year during new student orientation, students are provided with an opportunity to begin their civic journey by volunteering during the annual Day of Service. The participants cleaned the grounds at Trexler Park and teamed up with the Special Olympics.

The Kutztown University, Kutztown, Pa., Rock Ensembles have announced audition results for the Rock Ensemble I, II and III groups for the 2019-20 year, including Paul Gahr of Jackson. Student musicians in Rock Ensembles get a taste of the real world and the music they will be asked to play and create in the marketplace. Students learn to write their own arrangements for a band with a full rhythm section, horns and vocalists, prepare their own parts based on recordings and charts, and record and perform at a professional level.

Karlie Doyle of Howell has been named to the 2019 Homecoming Court at Kutztown University, Kutztown, Pa. Winners will be announced at halftime of Kutztown’s homecoming football game on Oct. 26.
