The East Brunswick High School Marching Band will host the Central Jersey Music Educators Association Marching Band Competition at 5 p.m. on Oct. 26 at the high school, 380 Cranbury Road, East Brunswick.
Admission is $10 for adults, $8 for seniors, $5 students, or free for children under five.
Attendees will receive a voucher for a free beverage if bringing a non-perishable food item to support the East Brunswick Food Pantry.
Boy Scouts from Troops 54, 3 and 60 and Packs 54 and 105 will begin a food drive in Jamesburg, going door to door on Oct. 26 to distribute food donation bags to residents. On Nov. 2, they will collect the donations, then sort, organize and deliver them to the Deacons Food Cupboard.
Food donation bags are provided by Shop Rite and its Partners in Caring program. The Deacons Food Cupboard is a mission of the Presbyterian Church of Jamesburg.
Anyone who wants to donate food on their own may bring it to 177A Gatzmer Ave., Jamesburg, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Nov. 2.
