Voters in Manalapan should elect Kathleen Williams to the Township Committee on Nov. 5. Kathleen offers a fresh voice that is sorely missing from our municipal government.

Kathleen has the experience we need in our leaders. She spent years working as a teacher and elementary school administrator, which sharpened her managerial and budgeting skills. She has the ability to effectively communicate with families from all walks of life.

Kathleen founded and currently runs a nonprofit organization called Friends in Need Children’s Center. The organization provides educational support services for minority children ages 8-18 and their families, primarily in Monmouth County, including a substantial group of families here in Manalapan.

She is also involved in various community service organizations that advocate for community and educational improvement.

Kathleen has lived in Manalapan for decades and raised three children there. All three attended school in the Manalapan school system. Kathleen was an active member of the parent-teacher organization for many years.

Kathleen has gained my respect and support, and the respect and support of many residents in Manalapan, due to her consistent involvement in community-related issues, support for the Manalapan school system, and political engagement to assure that all of Manalapan’s families are well represented.

She knows our schools, parks and roads as well as anyone. She will push back on overdevelopment and overcrowding to ensure we maintain our quality of life. Kathleen is a strong, independent, community activist who has consistently been an advocate for our Manalapan community.

Kathleen Williams is the best choice for Manalapan’s future. I hope you will stand with her this fall, as I will, and elect a great community advocate, a strong leader and a fresh voice on the Manalapan Township Committee, working for you.
