Dan Balka is a lifelong Sayreville resident and a graduate of Sayreville War Memorial high School. He graduated Seton Hall University and is a certified public accountant. He has two children, one who still attends Sayreville Public Schools.
While on the Board of Education, Dan has contributed to many different committees including finance, discipline, buildings and grounds and negotiations. As a member and former chairperson of the Finance Committee, Dan ensured that your tax dollars went into the classroom. Some of his priorities were new computers, Chromebooks, Smart Boards, textbooks and technology and curriculum upgrades. He also championed many infrastructure projects, which included new roofs, bathroom and locker room renovations, new windows, new doors, boilers, many new security measures, as well as band equipment and uniforms. This was all done within the budget process.
How do I know this? I spent more than 10 years on the Board of Education working with Dan. His priority was always making sure that the students have a safe environment and the best education.
Dan is a man of great integrity and honesty. He has my vote and I am asking you, the people of Sayreville, to join me and vote for Dan Balka. Our children deserve it.
