“We are very happy that Dana, Traslyn and Carole have agreed to share their expertise and insights as board members with us,” said VolunteerConnect’s executive director Allison Howe. “We are doing more than ever in support of area nonprofits and having board members with experience in finance, development, and marketing will help us be of the greatest benefit to the nonprofits we serve.”

Carole Bursac is AVP and branch manager with Investors Bank in Lawrenceville and has worked in banking for more than 25 years. She co-founded the Hopewell Harvest Fair and the Hopewell Education Foundation, and has served on boards and committees for Kidsbridge, American Heart Association, Incarnation St. James and United Way of Greater Mercer County. She also volunteers with TASK, HomeFront, Jewish Family and Children’s Services and Dress for Success.

Dana O’Donnell is director of marketing with Lawrenceville law firm Szaferman, Lakind, Blumstein & Blader, P.C. and has expertise in social media, digital marketing, graphic design and event coordination. As a volunteer ambassador with Princeton Mercer Regional Chamber of Commerce, she helps members glean the most benefit of their membership investment. Dana is a graduate of VolunteerConnect’s board training program.

Traslyn Butler is senior associate director in Princeton University’s Office of Advancement. Over her 20-year fundraising career she has designed and managed annual giving campaigns, coordinated volunteer activities and directed student fundraising programs. As a volunteer, she has worked with The Fund for Women and Girls of the Princeton Area Community Foundation, Franklin Township Animal Shelter, Brookline Labrador Retriever Rescue and as a board member of her community’s homeowners’ association.

VolunteerConnect is headquartered in Princeton and its work supports nonprofits in the greater Central New Jersey area.
