When Mansfield Township residents head to the polls this November, they will be casting their ballots for several races including the school board and general elections.
This year, residents will have a choice in the Nov. 5 Mansfield Township Committee election, as two candidates will run for one open seat on the committee. Independent candidate Arthur Puglia will look to claim a seat on the five-person committee against republican candidate Rudolph Ocello.
Puglia is originally from Bristol, Pa. He moved to Mansfield Township in 1978, where he became an intendant businessman and farmer. He was simultaneously raising a family and working as a construction inspector for the Pennsylvania Department of Highways. He then became a full-time farmer of 300 acres and employed approximately 40 people. He currently owns and manages several rental properties.

“I promise I will protect and support our residents’ rights to a healthy and safe community by making intelligent decisions concerning Mansfield’s Ambulance corp., our volunteer firefighters and our police, manage the large influx of monies the township will be receiving due to various projects taking place within our town limits, and hold lines on frivolous spending and stabilize taxes.”
Republican candidate Rudolph Ocello could not be reached for comment.
