St. Thomas the Apostle HSA will hold pocketbook bingo on Nov. 14 at the school, 333 Route 18 south, Old Bridge.
Doors open at 5:30 p.m. First game at 7 p.m.

“Words Matter” will be the panel discussion taking place at 2 p.m. on Nov. 17 at Congregation Beth Ohr, 70 Route 516, Old Bridge.

The program, sponsored in part by the Jewish Federation in the Heart of New Jersey, celebrates the Global Day of Jewish Learning. All are invited.

East Brunswick rabbis Eric Eisenkramer of Temple B’nai Shalom, Jeff Pivo of East Brunswick Jewish Center, and Efraim Unterman of Young Israel will discuss what we can learn from the words or silence of three unique biblical figures. Rabbi Joel Mishkin of Beth Ohr will moderate the discussion. Questions from the audience will be entertained following the formal presentation.

The Sayreville Recreation Department is offering a trip to see “Disney on Ice – Road Trip Adventures” on Nov. 9 at The Prudential Center in Newark. The show starts at 7 p.m.

The bus will leave at 5 p.m. sharp from the Mickey Sedlak Recreation Center, 167 Main St., Sayreville.

Tickets are $55 per person and are on a first-come first-served basis. Price includes bus transportation and ticket to the show.

Our Lady of Victories will hold its annual Christmas Bazaar from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Nov. 9 in Monsignor Dalton Hall, 42 Main St., Sayreville.

There will be more than 75 vendors selling crafts and merchandise.

There will be wheels of chance including baked goods, gift cards and toys as prizes.

There will also be a 50/50 raffle, tricky tray, children’s games and pictures with Santa.

 

Holocaust survivor Lois Flamholz will describe her fight for survival at Congregation Beth Ohr’s Kristallnacht program at 7:30 p.m. on Nov. 8 during the Sabbath evening service.

All are invited to attend.

Congregation Beth Ohr is located at 70 Route 516 in Old Bridge.

 

The Madison-Old Bridge Township Historical Society will hold its 54th annual Apple Festival from noon to 4 p.m. on Nov. 9 at the Old Bridge Township Civic Center, Route 516 and Cottrell Road, Old Bridge.

There will be crafts, holiday gifts, refreshments, live music, historical re-enactments, fresh picked apples and handmade apple pies.

Admission is free. Parking is available in the Old Bridge Civic Center municipal lot.

The Sayreville War Memorial High School (SWMHS) Hall of Fame Committee is seeking nominations for its 2020 induction program, scheduled for spring 2020.

Nominees must be graduates of SWMHS who have made outstanding contributions to his/her profession, organization or community.

Briefly list the individual’s accomplishments, year of graduation and contact information, including email address.

The South Amboy-Sayreville Rotary will hold a Polka dance fundraiser to support community service projects. Each year the club provides free dictionaries to every third grade student in South Amboy and Sayreville.

The dance will be held at 2 p.m. on Nov. 10 at the VFW hall, Jernee Mill Road, Sayreville.

Tickets are $20 per person.

New Beginnings Animal Rescue of East Brunswick will sponsor a Fall Harvest Shenanigans event on from 6-10 p.m. on Nov. 16 at Sayreville VFW Post 4699, 575 Jernee Mill Road, Sayreville.

There will be a buffet dinner, dessert, DJ Mike the Apeman, trivia, games, tricky tray and a 50/50 raffle.

Donation of $15 suggested.

This family-friendly concert will be followed by a Meet-the-Artists reception.

 

T A Sprinkler, Inc. will hold its annual Winter Wonderlights Spectacular from Nov. 30 to Jan. 5, 2020, at the Middlesex County Fairgrounds, 655 Cranbury Road, East Brunswick.

There will be Christmas lights, food, hot chocolate and photo opps with Santa.
