Dr. Edward Scheid and Dr. Louis Noce have joined Altair Health, one of the nation’s first physician-managed healthcare systems devoted to comprehensive spine care. Both are board-certified neurosurgeons who specialize in minimally invasive treatments for a wide range of spine issues.

“Like our existing team of physicians, Dr. Scheid and Dr. Noce are known for leading the way with innovative techniques and approaches to patient care – making them a natural fit for Altair Health and the patients we serve,” said Kyle W. D. Nelson, MBA, CEO of Altair Health. “We’re extremely proud to have experts of their caliber join us as we continue to deliver on our mission of taking the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of spine conditions to the next level.”

With a state-of-the-art medical center in Morristown and a surgery center in Florham Park, Altair Health conveniently brings together all of the specialists needed for evaluating and treating spine conditions – whether minor or highly complex – within one integrated healthcare system. A team – including neurosurgeons, physical therapists, pain management specialists, clinical psychologists, psychiatrists, acupuncturists, wellness specialists and more – manages each patient’s care from start to finish.

Atlantic NeuroSurgical Specialists (ANS), New Jersey’s largest neurosurgical practice, is steering Altair Health’s efforts.

Dr. Scheid comes to Altair Health from a large neurosurgical practice he founded in Albany, New York. He specializes in minimally invasive spine surgery; artificial disc replacement technology; treating spinal stenosis, degenerative disc disease, herniated discs, spondylolisthesis; and managing spinal tumors. He has extensive experience in caring for patients who have had prior spine surgery and are still experiencing pain. Dr. Scheid has performed more than 5,000 successful spine and brain surgeries.

Dr. Noce most recently was with Summit Medical Group. He has been pioneering minimally invasive spine surgery for the past 20 years. In addition to specializing in complex spine and minimally invasive treatments for a broad range of spine issues – including spinal disease, degenerative spinal disorders, spinal tumors and congenital spinal issues – Dr. Noce is leading the industry by instructing other surgeons on these techniques. He also focuses on failed spine surgery syndrome, bringing relief to patients who have new or persistent pain after spinal surgery.
