Local municipal election results are in but remain unofficial

Voters in Colts Neck, Englishtown, Freehold Borough, Freehold Township, Manalapan and Marlboro went to the polls on Nov. 5 and elected members of the governing body in their respective municipalities.

The Monmouth County Clerk’s Office has posted results from the election on its website. All of the election results are unofficial and will remain unofficial until a vote counting process that could take more than a week has been completed.

The totals as of Nov. 6 do not include late mail-in ballots and provisional ballots, which are expected to be tallied later this week.

Colts Neck

Running unopposed for her first three-year term on the Township Committee in Colts Neck, Republican Sue Fitzpatrick was elected and will join the governing body in January. Fitzpatrick has received 1,917 votes as of Nov. 6.

Englishtown

Running unopposed for a sixth four-year term as mayor in Englishtown, Republican Thomas Reynolds was re-elected. Reynolds has received 193 votes as of Nov. 6.

In the race for two three-year terms on the Borough Council in Englishtown, incumbent Republicans Gregory Wojyn and Daniel Marter ran unopposed and were elected. They will begin their new terms in January. Marter has received 195 votes and Wojyn has received 192 votes as of Nov. 6.

Freehold Borough

In the race for a four-year term as mayor in Freehold Borough, Democrat Kevin Kane appears to have defeated Republican Mary Ann Earle to win his first term as mayor. As of Nov. 6, Kane has received 1,124 votes and Earle has received 867 votes. Kane is currently serving on the Borough Council.

In the race for two three-year terms on the Borough Council in Freehold Borough, Democrats Adam Reich and Margaret Rogers appear to have defeated Republicans Michael Lichardi and Lori Annetta. As of Nov. 6, Rogers (1,097) and Reich (1,064) lead Lichardi (888) and Annetta (852). Rogers is currently serving on the council.

Freehold Township

In the race for one three-year term on the Township Committee in Freehold Township, Republican Maureen Fasano appears to have won her first term on the governing body. As of Nov. 6, Fasano has received 4,827 votes and Democrat Scott Berlin has received 2,931 votes.

Manalapan

In the race for two three-year terms on the Township Committee in Manalapan, Republicans Mary Ann Musich and Eric Nelson appear to have defeated Democrats Katharine Williams and Amelia Rendeiro. As of Nov. 6, Musich (4,222) and Nelson (4,003) lead Williams (2,797) and Rendeiro (2,617). Musich is currently serving on the committee.

Marlboro

Running unopposed for a fourth four-year term as mayor in Marlboro, Jonathan Hornik was re-elected. Hornik has received 4,666 votes as of Nov. 6.

In the race for two four-year terms on the Marlboro Township Council, incumbent Democrats Randi Marder and Michael Scalea appear to have defeated Republican Alan Ginsburg. As of Nov. 6, Scalea (3,699) and Marder (3,567) lead Ginsburg (3,064).
