MILLTOWN – Two incumbents and a newcomer will fill the Board of Education seats in Milltown.
Jennifer Gebbia-Spisso, who will serve her second term, collected the most votes with 929/31% in the election on Nov. 5. Carl Schneider, who will serve his third term, received 755 votes/25% and Celeste Jonas, who will serve her first term, recorded 700 votes/23%.
Anthony Young, who was seeking his first term, received 595 votes/20%.
Gebbia-Spisso, 42, moved from North Brunswick to Milltown in 2005. She said she ran for another term because she just started her journey on the board.
She said it is important for the schools, teachers and parents to have open communication in the board’s decision making.
Jonas has lived in Milltown for seven years. She said she ran for the board because she is very passionate about education of all children.
Schneider has lived in Milltown for 10 years. He said one of his focuses on the board will be on communication with the public.
Election results from Nov. 5 are according to the Middlesex County Board of Elections and are unofficial until certified.
