MILLTOWN — New faces will fill the two, three-year seats on the Borough Council in Milltown.

Democrat Phil Zambrana received the most votes with 1,161/29% followed by his runningmate Anna M. Neubauer, who took in 1,126 votes/28% during the Nov. 5 election.

Republican incumbent Doriann Kerber, who was seeking her third term, collected 893 votes/22% and Republican Kyle A. Livingstone, who was seeking his first term, received 884 votes/22%.

Neubauer, 28, who has lived in Milltown for 16 years, said during the campaign that communication is the first thing she would like to concentrate on with messaging apps, e-mail notifications, fliers, basically anything to help get people informed and more involved.

Zambrana, 57, who has lived in Milltown for 15 years, said he ran for council to assure residents he “will work to provide accountability, clear communication and transparency behind every decision that is made by the council.”

He said he will work to provide better communication with the residents of the borough on the financial decisions that are made and how those decisions affect their tax dollars.

Election results from Nov. 5 are according to the Middlesex County Board of Elections and are unofficial until certified.
