ENGLISHTOWN – Following the Nov. 5 general election in Englishtown, incumbent Republican Thomas Reynolds will continue to serve as mayor and incumbent Republicans Dan Marter and Gregory Wojyn will continue to serve on the Borough Council.
Reynolds, who has been mayor since 2000, ran unopposed for a new four-year term. According to election results posted online by the Monmouth County Clerk’s Office, he received 193 votes on Election Day. Reynolds’ new term will run from Jan. 1, 2020 through Dec. 31, 2023.
Marter and Wojyn ran unopposed for three-year terms on the Borough Council. Marter received 195 votes and Wojyn received 192 votes on Election Day, according to the clerk’s office. Their new terms will run from Jan. 1, 2020 through Dec. 31, 2022.
Marter has been a member of the council since 2017. Wojyn has been a member of the council since 2011.
The results are unofficial until they are certified by the county. The Election Day results do not include late mail-in ballots, write-in votes or provisional ballots that were filled out at polling locations on Nov. 5.
All of the members of Englishtown’s municipal government are Republicans. Marter and Wojyn are joined on the council by Daniel Francisco, Maryanne Krawiec, Eric Mann and Cecilia Robilotti.
