Tickets available for Holiday Express concerts

Tickets are on sale now for the Holiday Express benefit concerts at the Count Basie Theatre, Red Bank, on Dec. 16, presented by Stillwell-Hansen Inc., and on Dec. 17, presented by Investors bank.

Tickets are $125, $75, $60, $50 and $25 and may be purchased at www.countbasietheatre.org. All proceeds will benefit the nonprofit organization, Holiday Express, according to a press release.

The philanthropic group Holiday Express features 75 professional musicians and singers on stage and blends its unique mixture of traditional, gospel and rock ‘n soul holiday music, according to the press release.

Led by Tim McLoone, the 90-minute performance showcases the entertainment Holiday Express has been providing to less fortunate individuals in the tri-state area for 27 years.

Joining the band this year will be special guests Sisters Academy Chorus. Sisters Academy, in Asbury Park, is committed to offering girls from families of limited financial means a well-rounded education of excellence, according to the press release.

Also joining the show will be Dr. Elmo, performing his hit single, “Grandma Got Run Over by a Reindeer.”

Holiday Express is a nonprofit organization that delivers music, food, gifts, financial support and friendship to those with the greatest need for the gift of human kindness during the holiday season and throughout the year, according to the press release.

Proceeds from the concerts will improve the quality of life for the 27,000 adults and children being served by Holiday Express at 100 charity events during the 2019 holiday season, including individuals with mental and physical challenges, veterans, individuals in addiction programs, those facing financial difficulties, children with serious illnesses and more.
