Matawan police honors military members for Veteran’s Day

MATAWAN–Paying tribute towards the women and men who served in U.S. Military, Lt. Christopher Stark presented veterans with honorary certificates at Atrium Senior Living of Matawan.

Surrounded by red, white and blue decorations, Stark presented more than 12 veterans with an honorary certificate and pin to thank them for their service in the U.S. Military on Nov. 11, for Veteran’s Day, at Atrium Senior Living of Matawan, located at 40 Freneau Ave.

“We were contacted by the Atrium and asked if we would like to participate in the honoring of the veterans. We, of course, took the opportunity to do so,” Stark said. “Personally, both my grandfathers and father were veterans, they have all passed on, so when I was given this opportunity there was no other answer but yes we will attend. It gives me a chance to give my personal thank you.”
