Old Bridge police continuing to investigate motor vehicle crash

OLD BRIDGE – Police are continuing to investigate a motor vehicle crash that left a 71-year-old man in critical condition, according to Middlesex County Acting Prosecutor Christopher L.C. Kuberiet and Old Bridge Police Chief William Volkert.

The investigation began after police were dispatched to the scene of the crash on Route 18 near Ferry Road at 10:18 a.m. on Nov. 15, according to police.

The driver of the BMW, a 71-year-old male from Belle Mead, was taken to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick for life-threatening injuries, police said.

The investigation is active and is continuing. Anyone with information is asked to call Patrolman Henry Penley of the Old Bridge Police Department at 732-721-5600 or Detective Jonathan Berman of the Middlesex County Prosecutor’s Office at 732-745-4328.
