Local businesses and groups honored at Hillsborough Township event

Multiple businesses and organizations in Hillsborough Township were recognized at this year’s Hillsborough Business Association Business Social event.

Taking place on Nov. 7 at the Falcon’s Nest at the Polish Falcon on 140 Falcon Road, local businesses and groups were honored for milestone achievements, as well as acknowledgements for their contributions to the community. The Hillsborough Economic & Business Development Commission and the Township of Hillsborough hosted an HBA Business Social.

This Inaugural HBA Business Appreciation Social aimed to bring the Hillsborough business community together for a year-end celebration to acknowledge and celebrate local businesses and community partners.

Hillsborough Township Mayor Frank DelCore attended the event along with municipal officials, representatives from the Economic & Business Development Commission, and local business members. Officials said this year’s attendees had an opportunity to exchange business cards and build new connections.

The social also included a Business Resource Showcase where resources and information was offered. The businesses that participated in this year’s event included: Affinity Federal Credit Union; the Hillsborough Beacon News; Caz TV; the Hillsborough Public Library; New York Life; RB Health Hygiene Home; Shop Hillsborough / Fin Credit; Somerset Business Partnership; Sweets by Lauren; Tapsnap; and Vibrnz.

The evening also featured a business recognition ceremony with DelCore who presented presenting awards to local businesses. The awards included the “Hillsborough Community Partner Awards,” which recognized contributions in supporting community events. The “Appreciation Awards” honored businesses and community partners for their years of service to the township.

The “Appreciation Awards” were bestowed to businesses that served the community for 25, 30, 40, 50 and 60 years.

“We congratulate these businesses on their longevity and continued dedication to the township as we highlight their significant milestone years in Hillsborough,” DelCore said.

This year’s recipients were: 25 Years: New Image Designs and Topline Nails Salon;
30 Years: Castellano Construction Inc., Homebridge, MAILBOX Business Center, Mercom Inc. and Victor’s Pizza; 40 Years: Hillsborough Funeral Home and Pinnacle Health and Fitness; 50 Years: The Day Spa at Hair Plus; 60 Years: Red Bank Veterinary Hospital.

The “Hillsborough Community Partner Awards” recipients were recognized for their contributions in supporting events such as the Veteran’s Breakfast, Run Around the Park, Tree Lighting and food donations to the Hillsborough Community Assistance Network.

“We thank each and every one of these partners for their continued support,” DelCore said. “Their contributions help us continue these important township programs.”

This year’s recipients were: Belle Mead Animal Hospital; Brookdale Assisted Living; Central Jersey Nurseries; Country Classics; Cream Puffs Farms Kennel; Dog Days Daycare; Duke Farms Community Gardens; Faith Lutheran Church; Family Foot and Ankle Specialist; Fellowship Bible Church; Hillsborough Fire Marshals IAFF Local 4897; Hillsborough High School Hillsborough Memorial VFW Post 8371; Hillsborough PBA 205; Neshanic Reformed Church Rolnasek Poultry Farm; Remax Preferred Professionals; Rotary Club of Hillsborough; South Branch Reformed Church; Woods Road Elementary School; and the Motor Works, Inc.

Officials said the event concluded with DelCore thanked the event sponsors, congratulated the award recipients, local businesses and community partners for their contributions to the township.

“It is our honor to have you be part of Hillsborough Township and to recognize you this evening,” DelCore said. “We look forward to continuing to work with you in the future.”
