Coincidentally or not, we celebrate Thanksgiving shortly after Election Day. And while I don’t need a national day of thanks to kindle my appreciation for the opportunities afforded to me this year, the holiday is a fitting occasion to express my gratitude to you all.
Election cycles are grueling for candidates and just as prolonged for the electorate. Your time is valuable, as is your deliberate consideration of issues, as you navigate your already busy lives.
For those of you who participated in this year’s election – and especially those who supported me in my race – thank you.
I am grateful for your interest in our political process, the fortune of living in a country with a system that grants us the freedom to directly choose our representatives, and the experience of running to serve you, the residents of Legislative District 11.
Wishing you and yours a Happy Thanksgiving.
