South Brunswick director of Public Works receives award for years of service

South Brunswick Township’s Director of Public Works, Raymond T. Olsen, received a Special Recognition Award from the New Jersey Chapter of the American Public Works Association (APWA) to honor his 51 years of dedicated service in the field of Public Works.

Olsen accepted the award at a ceremony at the annual New Jersey League of Municipalities Conference in Atlantic City on Nov. 21.

Among those in attendance at the ceremony were APWA National President Bill Spearman, APWA New Jersey Chapter President Dan Carey, and New Jersey Department of Transportation Commissioner Diane Gutierrez-Scaccetti.

Olsen is a lifelong resident of South Brunswick and has worked for the township since 1968. He has been the director of Public Works since 1995.
