Fatal incident at Red Bank home remains under investigation

RED BANK – Red Bank police officers responded to a residence at 85 Bank St. at 12:30 a.m. on Dec. 8 and found five people in need of medical attention.

In the aftermath of the response, two individuals were pronounced dead and three individuals were taken to Riverview Medical Center, Riverview Plaza, according to Christopher Swendeman, public information officer for the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office.

The two individuals who were pronounced dead at the scene were 29 and 35 years old, according to Swendeman.

The gender of the deceased individuals was not provided and the gender and ages of the three individuals who were transported to the hospital for treatment was not provided.

Swendeman said emergency medical services units from multiple towns responded and transported the three patients to Riverview Medical Center. An investigation into what occurred in the residence was ongoing as of the morning of Dec. 9.
