Libraries will host events during December

The SOLE Jazz concert by the Spirit of Life Ensemble will be presented at 2 p.m. Dec. 15 at the Monmouth County Library Headquarters, 125 Symmes Drive, Manalapan. The performance is free and all are invited to attend. No reservations are necessary.

A Family Concert presented by the New Jersey State Youth Orchestra will be presented at headquarters at 7 p.m. Dec. 12.

On Dec. 14, the Billy Lawlor Trio will present its 10th annual Home for the Holidays concert at the Howell Branch of the county Library. The program is made possible through the Friends of the Howell Library and will begin at 2 p.m.

Charlie’s Band concert, featuring Sandy Sasso as vocalist, will be presented on Dec. 18 at 2
p.m. at the Ocean Township branch of the county library.

The Bob Kulik Concert, co-sponsored by Gary Matoren in memory of his daughter, Debbie Lynn, will be presented at headquarters in Manalapan at 2 p.m. Dec. 20. The concert will feature an afternoon of songs and stories.

A flutes concert will be held at the Wall Township branch of the county library on Dec. 21 at 2 p.m.

All programs are free and no advance registration is necessary.

At the same time, and throughout the month, special art exhibits are open in the libraries, with artwork by members of the Freehold Art Society featured at headquarters; Global artistry by Judith Mugrace featured at the Eastern Branch in Shrewsbury; and an exhibit by the Manasquan River Group of Artists will be on display at the Wall Township branch.
