Fresenius Kidney Care, the dialysis division of Fresenius Medical Care North America, will hold an open house from 3-6 p.m. on Jan. 9 at its new center, 1020 Route 18, East Brunswick.
About 1 in 7 adults in the United States has chronic kidney disease. In New Jersey, there are nearly 21,000 patients on dialysis. Fresenius Kidney Care East Brunswick will have capacity to treat up to 324 in-center patients a week.
During the open house, patients, healthcare providers and members of the community will be able to tour the center and learn about chronic kidney disease and home dialysis. Clinicians will also provide screenings and risk assessments and offer blood pressure checks at the event.
Open to the public. Light refreshments will be available. No cost to attend.
