Veterans were recipients of people’s generosity

Typing Letter to the Editor for the Opinion page.

Please accept my sincerest thanks for your newspaper’s assistance in helping to promote our eighth annual veterans holiday drive, “They Kept Us Safe, Let’s Keep Them Warm.”

With all thanks to kind people like yourself, it was a tremendous success and a banner year. We were able to supply more than 175 homeless veterans with brand new winter clothing ensembles.

In Monmouth County, Robbiani’s Clock and Doll Shop in Marlboro and Chelsea Assisted Living in Manalapan were our local collection locations.

And it’s not over yet, as the donations are still pouring in! Ocean County Mall got involved, our local police department, etc. It’s a holiday miracle! We could never have done it without your continuous support.

We are reaching for the stars this year! Your newspaper has played an integral part in helping our grassroots cause.
