To the Editor,

Congressman Chris Smith is a Republican member of the U.S. House of Representatives whose steadfast devotion to universal human rights and “all” his constituents is especially noteworthy.

He has served his N.J. Congressional district with distinction for over 30 years and been an emissary for both Republican and Democrat Party presidents.

I am a high school American History Social Studies teacher and am extremely impressed by his response to all ideas and opinions whether he agrees or not.

One of my students was an intern for him and enjoyed that experience immensely, and he and his family had great things to say about it.

I’ve not had the same courtesy by Democratic Congresswoman Bonnie Watson Coleman.

As she is now my representative due to redistricting I’ve written and called for several months about the impeachment hearings, but have received nothing from her. I can only guess because of her professed hatred of President Trump she has been blinded to the lies, the spying, the deceit, and treasonous acts of the Democratic Party during this terrible part of American history.

Thank God for individuals like Congressman Chris Smith. Others can learn from him.
