SOUTH RIVER–Starting off a year-long celebration that will commemorate the borough’s three centuries of existence, Mayor John Krenzel unveiled South River’s new 300th-anniversary logo.

More than 90 residents witnessed Krenzel unveil the logo during the borough’s reorganization meeting on Jan. 1.

Before unveiling the new logo, Krenzel asked members from the South River Cultural Arts & Heritage Commission to stand, in order to recognize them for their work in helping to create the logo.

Krenzel said members of the commission “will be working on events throughout this year celebrating South River’s 300th anniversary. These people helped with the first event, that first event is the unveiling of the official 300th-anniversary logo. You will be seeing this logo around town as the year progresses. I hope you all partake in the various events.”
