Manalapan Police Beat, Jan. 22

The Manalapan Police Department reported the following incidents occurred in the municipality:

• On Jan. 6 at 10:10 p.m., officers responded to a residence on Chelsea Road in reference to a report of criminal mischief. A resident reported that unknown individuals threw eggs at her home and at a vehicle that was parked in the driveway. No damage was reported as a result of the incident.

• On Jan. 5 at 12:26 p.m., officers responded to a residence on Smithburg Road in reference to a report of a burglary. A resident advised the officers that sometime between
2 p.m. Jan. 4 and 12:26 p.m. Jan. 5, unknown individuals entered the home and ransacked a bedroom. Nothing was reported stolen.

• On Jan. 5 at 9:26 a.m., officers responded to a business on Route 9 in reference to a report of a burglary. A Manalapan resident told the officers that sometime between 10 p.m. Jan. 4 and 9:15 a.m. Jan. 5, unknown individuals forced entry into the business and removed a cash register containing approximately $500.
