According to a press release, some of Monmouth County’s most dedicated string players will “perform an eclectic mix of Beethoven, Mozart, Tchaikovsky and Sibeliius, plus inventive string arrangements of contemporary musical legends Queen, Kansas and Metallica.”

The New Jersey State Youth Orchestra has a 40-plus year history as a premier orchestra, providing musical education to Monmouth County’s youth, according to a press release.

The three orchestra and two ensemble configurations of the NJSYO offer young musicians an opportunity to grow and refine their musical talents in an orchestral environment.

The not-for-profit, all-volunteer organization is dedicated to bringing live performance to venues throughout the county to promote music education and to provide creative musical experiences for the public to enjoy, according to the press release.

All are invited to attend the Jan. 26 performance. For more information, email swingstreet52@gmail.com or call 732-685-7377.
