Robinson said the deadline to submit entry forms is Feb. 21.The ballpark in Bridgewater is home to the Somerset Patriots, a professional baseball team.

To be eligible, officials said applicants should be part of a non-profit organization with 50% of its clients who are Somerset County residents, or be a community organization that serves county residents. If the establishment is not located in the county,  officials said it should provide significant community service or a volunteer element to county residents.

“The free tickets and box seats are one small way that the board of chosen freeholders can show our appreciation for organizations that serve our residents,” Robinson said in a statement. “I urge baseball fans to enter the drawing as soon as possible so they can take advantage of this opportunity.”

The drawing will be held in March to select the winners, officials said. Organizations will be assigned seating dates in the order in which they are drawn, and participants will be notified, according to officials.

Officials said entry forms must be received or postmarked by 4 p.m. on Feb. 21 and include the organization’s name and address, a contact person’s name and phone number, the organization’s mission or purpose, and information about its volunteer work and/or community service.

Applicants can obtain an entry form online or call 908-231-7040. Officials said applicants can submit entry forms via mail to the Somerset County Administrator’s Office, 20 Grove St., P.O. Box 3000, Somerville, NJ 08876-1262. Entry forms can also be submitted via fax at 908-231-1740 or email Administratorsoffice@co.somerset.nj.us.

Officials said organizations that use the community box must comply with all applicable rules, regulations and ordinances. Groups are responsible for purchasing any food or beverages. The community box is accessible to people with disabilities.
