Hun defeats Robbinsville to secure spot in the Mercer County hockey final

The Hun School is one victory away from repeating as the Mercer County Tournament champion in ice hockey.

Hun, the top seed, advanced to the Mercer County Tournament final when it knocked off fourth-seeded Robbinsville High School, 4-2,  in the semifinals on Feb. 18 at the Mercer County Skating Center in West Windsor.

Hun’s offense was led by forward Elliot Lareau, who produced two goals, and forwards  Charles Lavoie and Daniel Carney, who each scored once.

Forward Mitchell Ducalo connected for both of Robbinsville’s goals.

Hun will meet Princeton High School in the MCT final on Feb. 21 at the Mercer County Skating Center. The game is set for 5:30 p.m.
