JAMESBURG–The Borough Council adopted an ordinance amending the municipal code to add a “No Turn on Red” sign at the Perrineville Road, Gatzmer Avenue and Forsgate Drive intersection.

“We are adding a ‘No Turn on Red’ sign on Perrineville Road at Forsgate Drive and ‘Don’t Block the Box’ markings on Forsgate Drive on the Perrineville Road side of Forsgate,” Business Administrator Scott Frueh said on Feb. 19.

Frueh said there will be no stop signs installed at that intersection.

Stores such as Jamesburg Wines and Liquors, Jamesburg Deli and Grocery, CVS and TD Bank are located near the intersection. The intersection is also located near the Borough Hall building.

Since the ordinance was adopted, Frueh said, “It will now be sent to the county for their action, since they are county roads.”
