Manalapan Police Beat, Feb. 26

The Manalapan Police Department reported the following incidents occurred in the township:

• On Feb. 11 at 3:15 p.m., Manalapan officers responded to the Colts Neck Police Department in reference to a suspect who was arrested by Colts Neck police for a burglary. It was determined the suspect was linked to a separate burglary that was committed in Manalapan on Jan. 19. Police said the suspect, identified as a 29-year-old male resident of Manalapan, was taken into custody and charged with burglary to a dwelling, criminal mischief and theft of property. He was transported to Manalapan police headquarters, processed and transported to the Monmouth County jail, Freehold Township. Patrolman James Guarino handled the arrest.

• On Feb. 11 at 11:35 a.m., Manalapan officers responded to a residence on Saddlebrook Drive in reference to a report of theft. A resident told the officers that sometime between
Feb. 10 and Feb. 11, her prescription medication was removed from her home. Patrolman Joseph DeFilippis handled the report.

• On Feb. 8 at 5:14 p.m., Manalapan officers responded to a residence on Sutton Drive in reference to a report of theft. A resident told the officers an unknown individual removed her wallet from her purse while she was shopping at a business on Route 9. The individuals then attempted to purchase several items at nearby businesses by using the victim’s credit card. Patrolman Charles Mazzatto handled the report.

• On Feb. 6 at 11:38 p.m., Manalapan officers responded to a residence on Whitehall Way in reference to a report of theft. A resident told the officers that on Feb. 6 between 10-11 p.m., a jacket and a key fob was removed from a locker at a fitness center in Manalapan. Patrolman Brian Cruse handled the report.
