The Middlesex County College (MCC) dental clinic was the home of smiling children in February as children from all over the area visited for free dental care during Give Kids a Smile Day on Feb. 7, a program to ensure that children have access to quality dental care. Six local dentists, 27 dental students, 14 faculty and staff and 22 hygienists, all of whom are MCC alumnae, volunteered their time and talents as they treated children who received an exam, cleaning, fluoride treatments, sealants, as well as education on how to brush and floss. The total amount of services equated to $20,570. Pictured are alumna Priya Kannusamy, Class of 2006 of the Dayton section of South Brunswick, works on the teeth of Mailki Guardadu of New Brunswick.
