Council introduces ordinance placing parking restrictions near Frost Elementary school

EAST BRUNSWICK–The Township Council introduced an ordinance, which if adopted, will amend the municipal code to add parking hours and no stopping restrictions on Frost Avenue.

No parking will be allowed on both sides of Frost Avenue from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. during school days along the perimeter of the cul-de-sac only, according to the council agenda.

The council introduced and approved the ordinance on Feb. 24 during the council meeting at the municipal building. The final reading is scheduled for March 9.

Robert Frost Elementary school is located on Frost Avenue.

On the north side of Frost Avenue, no parking will be allowed from 8:30-9:15 a.m and from 2:30-3:30 p.m. along the curb line of Frost Avenue beginning 25 feet west of Overland Road to the beginning of the cul-de-sac in front of Robert Frost Elementary School, according to the council agenda.

No stopping or standing will be allowed on both sides of Frost Avenue from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. during school days at the perimeter of the cul-de-sac only, according to the council agenda.

If adopted, the ordinance will take effect 20 days after its initial adoption, according to the council agenda.
