East Brunswick superintendent releases message addressing coronavirus concerns

EAST BRUNSWICK–Superintendent Victor Valeski posted a statement explaining the East Brunswick Public Schools District awareness and preparedness to address the coronavirus.

“Understandably, many people in the East Brunswick community are concerned about the Coronavirus outbreak and the impact to our schools,” Valeski said in a prepared statement. “The spread of this virus is an evolving and fluid situation. We are currently exceeding recommended school cleaning procedures issued by the New Jersey Department of Health and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).”

Valeski said that the schools’ nurses remain proactive in monitoring the health of students and staff during the school day.

“We will continue to follow guidance issued by state and federal health agencies, as well as the New Jersey Department of Education, as new updates on the virus are issued,” Valeski said in the prepared statement.

In his statement, Valeski also provided a link to the New Jersey Department of Education’s prepared statement, released on Jan. 28, which provides guidance and resources about the Coronavirus.
