Hopewell police blotter

A Hopewell Borough resident reported on Feb. 20 that someone opened a bank account using his personal information without his permission.

A Hopewell Township resident reported Feb. 20 that her personal bank account was compromised by an unknown person. She discovered it after reviewing her bank statement.

A 25-year-old Newark woman was charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance (marijuana), possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a controlled dangerous substance in a motor vehicle, driving while suspended and being an unlicensed driver after she was stopped for a motor vehicle violation on Washington Crossing-Pennington Road on Feb. 22.

A Hopewell Township resident reported that someone opened a credit account and took out an automobile loan using his personal information without his permission. The incident was reported on Feb. 21.

A burglar tried unsuccessfully to break into a house on Crusher Road through a rear door on Feb. 23. The attempted break-in was discovered by police, who responded to the house for an activated burglar alarm.

Pocketbooks, jewelry and money were among the items stolen from several parked car at the Mercer Meadows Park in the area of the dog park during the day on Feb. 23. The cars, which were locked, were forcibly entered.

A 33-year-old Ewing Township woman was arrested on outstanding warrants from the Ewing Township and Hopewell Township municipal courts after she was stopped for a motor vehicle violation on Pennington Road on Feb. 23. She was also charged with driving while suspended.

A 27-year-old Ewing Township woman was arrested on outstanding warrants from the Robbinsville Township and Trenton municipal courts after she was stopped for a motor vehicle violation on Washington Crossing-Pennington Road on Feb. 26. She was also charged with driving while suspended, failure to have her car inspected and being an unlicensed driver.
