All those who attended the senior wellness program had an opportunity to have a one-on-one meeting with the registered nurse. Services provided to residents included monitoring of vital signs, a medication review, nutrition education and disease prevention, according to the press release.

VNA’s next visit will be on March 18 from 10 a.m. to noon at the Allentown First Aid Squad headquarters on Waker Avenue.

Going forward, the senior wellness program is scheduled to meet on the third Wednesday of every month from 10 a.m. to noon.

The coordinators of the Allentown Senior Citizens Committee thanked Carol Floyd and Ruth Bertagni of the Allentown First Aid Squad for working with the committee to help make the senior wellness program possible by allowing the committee to use the first aid squad’s building.
