Saint Peter’s University Hospital, a member of Saint Peter’s Healthcare System, is the site of care for a patient with presumptive positive COVID-19 (coronavirus) infection.

Due to federal privacy laws, hospital administration cannot comment on the patient specifically, beyond saying this adult patient is hospitalized in isolation.

Saint Peter’s University Hospital’s healthcare providers are specially trained to handle a wide variety of infectious diseases, including this one, and are prepared to deliver safe, efficient and patient-friendly care to all who walk through our doors, according to information provided by the hospital.

“We are working with local and state partners on monitoring procedures for those who interacted with this patient,” the statement released on March 17 states.
